Business Manager - Foreign Expansion

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented sales professional to drive outbound initiatives for promoting foreign investment opportunities from India to overseas markets. The ideal candidate will have strong research skills, experience working with chambers of commerce or trade organizations, and the ability to identify and engage with potential investors or trade partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Research & Analysis
- Conduct market research to identify high-potential overseas investment opportunities for Indian businesses.
- Analyze trade policies, industry trends, and investment climates in target countries.
- Map key sectors and stakeholders, including companies, government bodies, and trade associations.
- Lead Generation
- Develop a robust database of qualified leads in target markets through online research, company databases, networking events, and partnerships with chambers of commerce.
- Proactively reach out to potential investors or trade partners via email, phone, or professional networks and events.
- Qualify leads and assess their alignment with the organization's investment promotion goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with chambers of commerce, trade missions, and other international trade organizations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to design compelling investment propositions.
- Reporting & Insights
- Maintain accurate records of outreach and engagement activities in CRM systems.
- Provide regular reports on lead generation metrics, market feedback, and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Economics, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in research, business development, or working with chambers of commerce.
- Strong knowledge of international trade and foreign investment policies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office Suite.
- Proven ability to work independently and deliver results under tight deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Multilingual proficiency for engaging with diverse international and Indian audiences.
- Prior experience in organizing or participating in trade delegations or investment roadshows.

About the internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Undertake student recruitment activities, such as attending exhibitions, email, phone calls and career conventions and visiting schools
and colleges to achieve or exceed agreed KPIs and annual student recruitment targets.
2. Develop and maintain agent networks to assist with student recruitment.
3. Develop and extend links with educational institutions and other organizations appropriate to student recruitment.
4. Report to Head of Education Sector and CEO and to University on individual and team contribution to recruitment targets, annual
projections, and recommendations for improvements.
5. Other duties as within the scope and spirit of the role, the title of the post, and its grading.
